Full-Day Sea Kayak in Sfakia, 6 hours, rated 4.9 across 183 traveller reviews.
Fifteen kilometres of coast that no road reaches, paddled by sea kayak over a six-hour trip. The trip runs out of Ilingas Beach near Sfakia and starts at 10:00, with snorkelling gear and all paddling equipment provided. You paddle along the shore, dip into sea caves and stop at beaches, including Sweet Water Beach, known locally as Glyka Nera.
There is also a village stop. Lunch is not included in the price, so you can either bring a packed lunch or eat at a taverna in Loutro. Experienced paddlers tend to appreciate the boats, which come from makes such as Nigel Dennis and Valley.
Who suits it? Most travellers can join, and the listing describes the group as no larger than 12, with a stated maximum of 15 travellers. It is not advised if you have back problems, are pregnant, or have a serious heart condition, and the trip is not wheelchair accessible.
